Daddy Owen, who has been single ever since his ex wife Farida Wambui eloped with a mubaba, has revealed why he can’t date Amber Ray.
Fans suggested that Daddy Owen should hook up with Amber Ray after the socialite broke up with her ex husband Jamal ‘Rohosafi’ Marlow.
Amber Ray confirmed the breakup through a post on social media where she announced that she was single and ready to mingle.
“Those i dated 2021 Your certificates are Out Please come and collect them & 2022 intake ongoing ….Chances are limited ? #amberthebrand,” wrote Amber Ray on January 24th.
Daddy Owen responded to suggestions about dating Amber Ray and clarified that they have friend-zoned each other.
“I cannot date Amber Ray. She is my very good friend, how do you even start dating a friend? Being friends means you have already friend-zoned each other. The entertainment industry is just like an office we make friends and Amber Ray is such,” Daddy Owen explained.
Owen was dumped by his fetching brown skin ex wife Farida Wambui before Christmas 2020, she fell for an older Nakuru tycoon Albert Njuguna.
53-year-old Njuguna is a monied man whose business empire has invested in microfinance, hospitality, property, real estate, tours and tenders.
Daddy Owen married Farida at the Kenya Assembly Of God church in Buruburu, Nairobi on April 2nd 2016, but their four-year marriage ended like a wind.
Farida married Albert Njuguna without serving Daddy Owen with a divorce or a notice to indicate that they had parted ways. She just disappeared and eloped with the Nakuru tycoon.
It was at Njuguna’s Kika Lodge in Gilgil Nakuru county where Daddy Owen’s ex wife married the wealthy businessman – a week after leaving the musician with their two sons.
