Bongo Singer Aslay Asks To Be Buried Alongside His Daughter

Aslay who was a member of defunct Yamoto band has asked his kin to bury him in the same grave as his daughter when he dies.

For starters, Aslay was a teen when he popped in 2011 with his debut single hit song ‘Nakusemea.”

He joined Yamoto band where his music career flourished for years before the band members went their separate ways with Mbosso joining Diamond Platnumz’s Wasafi record label.

Aslay has not been quite popping ever since the breakup of Yamoto band. The singer only recently made headlines when he talked about his death.

He raised eyebrows in a post on social media where he asked to be buried alongside his daughter Mozza when he dies.

“Tukifa Tuzikwe Wote Ndio Mimi na @mozza__aslay,” Aslay wrote.

In most African cultures it’s taboo to talk about own death when one is still alive. However people do it, Diamond Platnumz talked about his own death in his song ‘Nawaza’ which is part of his EP ‘First Of All’ (FAO).

Diamond wondered who would mend his mother’s heart if he dies, he also asks himself if his record label Wasafi will also ‘die’ when he dies.

He also wondered what would cause his death whereby, he said that it could be an accident or disease.

Ohh nawaza siku nikifa sijui Wasafi itakufa. Nawaza sijui maradhai ama ajali itanikuta,” Diamond sings.
