Governor Mutua Reveals Plans To Construct A Swimming Pool At Machakos Boys

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua will lead Machakos Boys’ Alumni Association in constructing a swimming pool for the school.

Through a statement he shared on Tuesday October 12, Mutua said that he had a meeting with the association where they discussed ways in which they would work together

“I had a delightful breakfast meeting today with the Machakos Boys alumni association led by the Chairman, Justice (Rtd) Philip Waki.  We shared various ways of partnership and collaboration between my government and the school that has continued to put Machakos County on the national map,” Mutua stated.

The governor noted that the Alumni were planning to upgrade their former school.

“The alumni shared their plans for their school which includes building an Olympic size swimming pool and in support, I will mobilize a bulldozer to assist in the excavation process as well as cabro bricks from our county owned cabro factory,” Mutua said.

He further expressed his gratitude to the association for supporting his projects in the county.

“I thank the association for their support for my projects within the County and we have agreed to continue to work together to unleash the full potential of the school,” Mutua said.

“It was great to interact with some of the great minds that Machakos Boys has produced, and their emulable love and great ideas that they have for their former school,” the governor added.

Once complete, the school will be among just a handful of public institutions that have state of the art infrastructure.

Machakos Boys High School stands on a 118-acre parcel of land and is funded by the government of Kenya and managed through a board of governors and parent-teacher associations (PTA).
