Janet Mbugua’s Estranged Husband Eddie And His Twin Brother Flee To US As Court Case Begins

Twin brothers Eddie and Paul Ndichu were conspicuously missing at the Kibera Law Courts as the prosecution read their charge sheets.

Eddie and Paul Ndichu are facing several counts of assault and malicious damage to property, according to a new charge sheet filed in court.

The twin brothers were no show at the Kibera Law Courts on Tuesday, February 8, when they were charged with five counts of assault and malicious damage to property.

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji on Monday, February 7th filed a suit against the twin brothers at the Kibera Law Courts.

The case commenced on Tuesday and the brothers were expected to appear in court to answer to the charges but failed to appear in court.

Lawyer Njenga Nyenge who represented the brothers in court informed Kibera Law Courts Chief Magistrate Ann Mwangi that they are in the USA and unable to attend court.

The lawyer claimed that one of the brothers had contracted Coronavirus in America.

“My clients are not present in court today as they are in the USA and were unable to travel back to face the charges as one of them has Covid-19,” Nyenge told the court.

Nyenge sought a later date for the plea taking so as to give the brothers time return home..

Paul Ndichu is accused of assault and causing bodily harm contrary to section 251 of the Penal Code Chapter 63.

Paul is alleged to have assaulted Cheryl Murgor and caused her bodily harm on the night October 16th and 17th 2021 at Emara Ole Sereni Hotel, Lang’ata,

On the second Count Paul and Eddie are jointly accused of willingly and unlawfully damaging a vehicle belonging to Samuel Dennis Ramdas.

On the third count, Paul is being accused of assaulting Chelimo Murgor and on the fourth count, he is accused of a similar crime against Stephanie Murgor.

He is also facing an assault charge against Ramdas and another count against Patrick Kipgetich on the same night. His brother, Eddie is also facing an assault charge against Ramdas.

According to the Penal Code, any person who commits an assault occasioning actual bodily harm is guilty of a misdemeanour and is liable to imprisonment for five years.

Paul and Eddie could face a maximum of up to 25 years in prison if they are found guilty of their offenses.
