Bodies of man and woman who drowned in Juja were found naked leading to the conclusion that the duo was having s3x when the tragic incident happened.
The two lovebirds died on Tuesday night January 17, 2023, after a car they were in slipped into the dam while they were having s3x.
The tragic incident happened at the dam which is located in the Titanic Area of Juja, Kiambu County.
According to the locals, the two were having a good time in Nissan X-trail that was packed a few metres from the dam.
The locals said they heard people screaming for help at around 7.30 pm.
Locals say they heard screams as the car slipped into the water body, the woman managing to get out through the windows, trying to swim to safety but unfortunately there were no divers around to save her.
“I heard a woman screaming, she was in the dam trying to swim, trying to save herself but unfortunately there were no divers around. The car plunged into the dam and the woman managed to get out of the car through the windows,” Lucy Muthoni, a resident of the area, told Citizen.
It’s suspected that the lovebirds could have stepped on the handbrake while romping setting the vehicle in motion unknowingly.
The naked body of the woman was retrieved on Tuesday night while that of the man also found naked was retrieved on Wednesday morning and taken to General Kago morgue in Thika.
The Nissan X-trail car has since been retrieved from the water.
At the banks of the dam, alcoholic bottles are seen scattered all over a clear indication of how the scenery has become a spot for enjoyment indicating that people party in the area.
“They park and chill around here every day but during the weekends you cannot even find a parking spot here, they flock here, drinking and enjoying themselves here. This is not the first case,” one of the locals Brian Njoroge said.
