Miguna Miguna has criticized COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli for inviting veteran Congolese singers to entertain his family.
Through a tweet, Atwoli shared his photo with Lingala artists Faya Tess and Coco Nyboma and said that they would be entertaining his family and friends during the end year party.

Miguna however thought that Atwoli should have used the opportunity to empower Kenyan musicians.
“Though I love Lingala music, this is the time when the COTU thief,@AtwoliDza, should have used the BILLIONS he stole from Kenyan workers to EMPOWER a Kenyan artist like Odongo Swagg, Kofi Makadory, or Embarambamba. But look how unpatriotic and uncaring Raila’s sponsor is,” Miguna said.
Other Kenyans as well have had something to say about Atwoli’s move.
“Life is so unfair. As some of us are fighting wars that were never even won by our parents, never inherited anything and struggling to accumilate some wealth so as our kids can have somewhere to start from, Papa is living in his own world eating with a big spoon. I envy you Papa,” Gabriel Bwire said.
Peter Rollingy said, “The self proclaimed workers representative is inviting musicians to entertain him and his family while the workers are earning peanuts and living in abject poverty. Tajiri atazidi kuwa tajiri na maskini atazidi kuwa maskini. Shenzi sana!”
While Mathenge Wahome said, “Sir i hope that you will also bring in Younger artists of this Era like Fally Ipupa, Koffi Olomide, Werrason, Ferré Gola, JB Mpiana, Celeo Scram. While at it ask those people who deported Koffi Olomide to remove that deportation order from his records.”
