Controversial gospel singer Ringtone now claims that it’s God who made him behave like a mad man.
Ringtone is known for controversial antics that have put him at loggerheads with fellow musicians multiple times.
Speaking during an interview on NTV’s The Trend on Friday October 14, 2022, Ringtone lamented that God made him to be like a made person so that he can deal with the current generation which he said was behaving like a crazy market.
“Tuko katika kizazi ambacho kinakaa ni kama soko ya wazimu. Sahi tuko kwa generation ambayo ukifanya kitu right haiwezitrend. (We’re in a generation where it’s like a crazy market. Right, we are in a generation that if you do something right, it cannot trend.),” Ringtone said.
“Ukifanya kitu wrong ndo inatrend. So waschana wakivua nguo wadance wanatrend. Mschana akivaa nguo refu adance hawezi trend. ( If you do something wrong, it trends. So girls taking off their clothes and dancing are trending. A girl who wears long dresses and dances cannot trend.),” he added.
Ringtone further noted that God called him to be a mad person to deal with the lost generation.
“So mimi naona ni kama Mungu ameniinua kama wazimu. Mimi ni kama kichaa, wazimu wa hii generation. Kwa sababu ni kama soko iko na wazimu wengi pia Mungu anahitaji awe na wazimu wake mwenye anakuja anavuruga hio soko ndo message ya God inafika kwa soko. So mimi navuruganga hii soko, lazima niwapige vita. (So I think it’s like God has lifted me up like crazy person. I am like crazy, the crazy of this generation. Because if the market is full of madness, God needs to have his own mad person, who comes and disrupts the market with the message of God reaching the market. So I’m disrupting this market, I have to fight them.),” he said.
