President Uhuru’s niece Nana Gecaga reflects on days she used to drink a crate of beer in one sitting

Nana Gecaga was a lousy drunk before she overcame alcohol addiction and embrace a life of sobriety.

The president’s niece, who is also KICC chief executive, on July 4, 2022 celebrated 23 years of an alcohol-free lifestyle.

Nana, who has been vocal about how alcoholism ruined her life, says she is happy about herself as she has remained committed to sobriety.

“July 4th 2022 and I’m celebrating 23 years of sobriety… I just want to thank everyone who has stood by me this far and I’m so PROUD of the WOMAN I have become and continue to be… HAPPY SOBRIETY DAY TO ME ?

In a video on her Instagram page, Nana said that she is proud of the woman she has since become.

“It’s the 4th of July and everyone in America is celebrating independence day. But for me, it’s an extremely important day for me. I am 23 years sober today. I don’t take it for granted,” Nana captioned a video she shared on social media.

Nana acknowledged that fighting the addiction is not an easy process but said the important thing is to take it serious.

The president’s niece in a past interview narrated how she used to drink up to a crate of beer and a bottle of hard liquor in one sitting.
