Ringtone: We Have Prayed So Much For Eric Omondi To Suffer, God Has Finally Punished Him

Gospel singer Ringtone Apoko has claimed that the recent arrest, detention and charging of Comedian Eric Omondi is  punishment from God.

Speaking at the Milimani Lawcourts on Wednesday, the self-proclaimed chairman of gospel music said that Eric was paying for attacking gospel artists and saying distasteful things about them.

“We have prayed so much for Eric Omondi to suffer. We want him to be slim. He is growing fat like a woman. You saw he had a belly. Why would a slim person grow fat. We have prayed for him to get some troubles for punishment so that he can go back to God. God has whipped him,” he told digital reporters.

Ringtone further said that the gospel fraternity had resolved to block any communication with he controversial comedian.

“I blocked Eric Omondi on the day that he was used by Satan to accuse God’s servants that they are adulterous, they have been married, he said that others have gonorrhea and he has not tested them.

“It was like comedy, but it touched the families of the gospel artists. When he did that, we gospel artist blocked him and we don’t want to talk to him,” the Tenda Wema hitmaker said

He further accused gospel artists associating themselves with the comedian, like Daddy Owen, of looking for a way to comeback and chasing clout.

At the same time Ringtone denied showing up very late at Milimani lawcourts with Kshs 2 million as a show off. He claimed that the Kshs2 million was a contribution from the gospel industry to bail out the comedian.

Ringtone said that he did not want to talk to Eric and would post the bail as anonymously.

“I request you not to tell him that it is me. I want to pay as anonymous and go home,” he said although at the time, Eric had already been bailed out.
