Stivo Simple Boy’s ex girlfriend Purity Vishenwa complained numerous times that the rapper’s former management gave him a raw deal.
Vishenwa said that Stivo had been brainwashed by Made in Kibra management who were taking the bulk of the money he was making.
The rapper’s ex revealed that the highest amount of money the management had ever paid Stivo after performing was ksh2,000.
She said Stivo is paid about Ksh50,000 per performance but the Made in Kibra management always paid him pocket change.
Vishenwa lamented that the management has brainwashed Stivo that he do whatever he is instructed.
She said the management moved him to a bedsitter in Kayole so that he could be far away from ‘bad’ influence in Kibera, people who like Vishenwa who were trying to enlighten him about being exploited.
Vishenwa claimed the management tried hard to make Stivo Simple Boy break up with her because she has always fought for him to be paid more money to get him out of poverty.
Stivo ultimately dumped the Made in Kibra management that exploited him and is now being managed by MIB Africa.
However, speaking during a recent interview on Iko Nini podcast, Stivo said the most cash he has made in his career was while under Made in Kibra management.
He revealed that he secured a role in betting company’s advert which saw him pocket a whopping Sh500,000 money he said he spent for his parents’ welfare.
“While at Made in Kibra I got half a million from a commercial with a betting company, I spent the money to build my parents a decent home back in the village,” Stevo said.
Simple boy is who is currently under a different management said the rumors that his former management was mistreating him were fueled by haters who according to him were not happy that he was rising fast in the music industry.
The Freshi Barida hit maker said success in the creative industry was guaranteed if one was organized and remains humble.
