Woman Who Blocked Thika Road To Have S3x With Boyfriend In Car Given 14 Days To Appeal Her Sentence

26-year-old Tabby Ndung’u was sentenced by Makadara court after she was found guilty of causing a disturbance and obstructing traffic.

The court heard that Tabby was caught making love with her boyfriend in her car in the middle of Thika Road near TRM, consequently causing traffic snarl-up.

Taddy was interrupted by traffic officers manning the road who were drawn to the traffic snarl-up and immediately sought to establish the cause of the jam.

The 26-year-old and her lover became rude and hostile to the officers after they interrupted their session. She started hurling insults at the police officers. She was arrested and taken to Kasarani police station.

Tabby appeared before Makadara Law Courts Chief Magistrate Francis Kyambia on Thursday January 26, 2023, where she pleaded guilty to charges of creating a disturbance and offensive conduct.

Asked by the court whether the facts of the case were correct, she agreed to the same.

In mitigation, the woman urged the court to forgive her saying she is remorseful and will never repeat the acts again.

However, the magistrate fined her Ksh10,000 for each offence or an alternative of six months imprisonment.

The judge delivered the verdict in accordance to traffic act and penal code which states that Any person who leaves any vehicle on a road in such a position or manner or in such a condition as to cause or to be likely to cause any danger to any person shall be guilty of an offence and liable (a) for a first conviction, to a fine not exceeding Ksh50,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year.

Tabby has 14 days to appeal her sentence.
