Kilimani MCA said Azziad Nasenya does not deserve the government job given to her.
Robert Alai strongly condemned Azziad’s appointment to the Creatives Technical Committee at the Ministry the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports, and the Arts.
Azziad was among 11 celebrities appointed to the Creatives Technical Committee by Sports CS Ababu Namwamba.
Kilimani MCA Robert Alai condemned Azziad’s appointment to the committee saying she added no value.
“I love and respect Azziad. However, I don’t know her competence. Beyond TikTok dancing, I don’t understand what serious thing she knows about creative economy or even identifying talent.
“We have enough Kenyans who know much more about this. I can share some names,” Alai tweeted.

Azziad however downplayed the criticism as she expressed sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Sports and Arts and its Minister Ababu Namwamba following her appointment.
She promised to use her art skills to promote the creative sector in the country.
“I am a firm believer in the potential of the creative economy as a fulfilling profession and source of income, and a beneficiary of the same. Therefore I am committed to using my skills and experience gained in the digital world as a content producer to support the growth of the creative sector and to ensure that Talanta Hela’s vision is fulfilled,” Azziad said.
The 22-year-old entertainer noted that she is ready to collaborate with other appointees and relevant stakeholders on the committee to promote the arts and creativity sector in Kenya.
“I believe that with your support, the future of the creative economy is bright. Together, let’s put money in our pockets,” he said.
Azziad rose to fame in April 2020 after posting a dance video for Femi One and Mejja’s song ‘Utawezana’ which went viral on all social media and received love from many netizens. Since then, he has found many jobs in the entertainment and marketing industry.
