Eric Omondi claims he’s been sent by God to rescue all lost sheep.
Recently, the self proclaimed President of comedy in Africa asked all gospel music artists to repent or perish. Eric Omondi alleged that most famous artists have fallen after ditching the church and running after worldly pleasure.
Eric further stated that, this is one of the reasons why Kenyans are suffering.
In the video that went viral, he asks, “Where is Daddy Owen, where is Jimmy Gait, where is Mercy Masika, where is Alice Kamande, where is Gloria Muliro, where is Eunice Njeri, Kambua what are you doing?”
The comedian further warned that he would expose all the dirt that goes on with the celebrity circles, after he drop named a few of them, requesting them to repent and ask God for forgiveness.
“The gospel industry was the identity of Kenyan music but they have all fallen and the church has let down Kenyans.”
“Gospel artistes have more scandals than secular musicians. You have left the Ministry, you have left God, and you have left the church, you will never succeed,” he said.
Bahati, Jimmy Gait and Masterpiece were the most mentioned in his outburst.
“Bahati left gospel for secular and is hanging onto his YouTube channel with his wife. Wachana na politics! Bro, come back to God. Give us songs that are inspired by God, songs that moved nations and influence the youth,” he advised the Mama hit maker.
Jimmy Gait was told to stop sending Kenyan ladies to work in the Gulf because they are treated worse.
The once popular musician operates an employment agency which connects Kenyans with opportunities.
Worshipers received Eric in celebration and jubilation at Huduma Revival Church in Rongai on Sunday.
“Hii imeenda” Kenyans online including Betty Kyallo commented, as many now believe that this is a turn around in his life.
“We preached the Word today. Restated the Importance of Restoration and Revival amongst our Gospel Artists.” Eric posted on his Instagram account.
