Popular Ugandan singer Jose Chameleone has been trending on social media since Thursday after he was captured caning a boda boda rider.
The nasty incident occurred while he was on his way home and has seen many people bash and criticize him.
The altercation occurred after the rider alleged rammed into Chameleone’s range rover, damaging it on the left side.

His management has however explained that Chameleone resolved to caning the rider as a self defense mechanism.
In a statement, the team said that the rider was being disrespectful, hurled insults at the artist and even threatened him after causing damage.
“On the morning of Thursday 17th November 2022, an uncomfortable incident involving a boda boda rider and Jose Chameleone escalated as he was driving back to his home in Seguku where a reckless rider rammed into his Range Rover leaving the left side of it scratched. The incident was in self defense as the charged boda boda rider tried to approach.” his management said in a statement.
The team however apologized saying such incidents will be handles better in future.
“The incident is regrettable and could have been avoided. Similar incidents will be handled better going forward,” the statement further read.
