Akuku Danger suffers from sickle cell anemia, a chronic condition which lasts through a person’s lifetime.
The Churchill show comedian was admitted in hospital in late December 2021 after his condition worsened.
By the time he was being discharged, Akuku’s bill had accrued to Ksh2 million. A fundraiser was held but didn’t raise the full amount.
The comedian was ultimately discharged from Nairobi West Hospital on January 27th 2022 and allowed to go home even though he owed the facility a lot of money.
Sandra Dacha announced on January 28th that the comedian entered into a legal agreement with Nairobi West Hospital to clear his bill over an agreed period of time.
